Welcome to the site! Why don't you start a thread in the Member Introduction forum.

I'm not a big fan of saxon either.  Why don't you try switching to Math u See? I think it's better.

Hey, welcome to the forums! The thing with the Saxon book is they use this "continuous" approach. They'll introduce a topic and then put it in every lesson. However, because every lesson only contains 30 problems, you can't possibly cover every topic in every lesson. That was one of my complaints with the Saxon series, particularly the PreCalc book. It just was not repetitive enough to stick in my head. I liked Saxon up til the Advanced Math book.
